Upon reaching adulthood, Sam became the Pastor of St. Patrick Parish. Theresa and Johnny married and had triplets. Their sons became All-Star football players for Notre Dame. One chapter memorializes the real life Medal of Honor recipient, Chaplain Father Vincent Capodanno.
